In collaboration with Adam Kaleta, I created an audiovisual installation called Luxonus. This multimedia project uses luminescence and tempo to draw attention to how light influences our perception of time. Thin, oscillating bands of light, reacting in perfect synchrony with an electronic soundscape, are revealed as they move along an intricate string sculpture. The resulting patterns offer a representation of time as non-linear and governed by our perception. Through this reflection, the audience may arrive at a deeper connection to their role in crafting time.
Luxonus has been shown at INOCON (Valencia ES), Lumen (Waterloo CAN), Sideburn (Toronto CAN), Lumiere (Toronto CAN) and Open Ears (Kitchener CAN).
